St. Joseph's Institute of Management (JIM) a Jesuit Business School, started in 2007 has nurtured management professionals with a vision of forming responsible leaders. With a mission to provide a learning environment for integral development of individuals to adapt to corporate world, JIM has innovative pedagogy and learning ecosystem. Consciously, we at JIM, guide the students to look at their learning holistically, not merely in terms of profit making; we do not want them to become just factory-ready graduates, but society-ready graduates who make a difference in the lives of people and who are change-makers. In our pursuit to nurture 'Change - Makers', we strongly believe that fostering the entrepreneurial spirit of the students would help discover themselves.
StartUp 1.0 Mela
The `StartUps' have disrupted technologies and have taken businesses in innovative directions. Most of these start-ups have germinated in the young minds and their journey began in their garages. In fact, many StartUps have become change agents. StartUps have the potential to make this world a better place to live for us and the generations to come. We encourage the young minds at JIM, but also those at various colleges to be 'Change Makers. Our belief is that entrepreneurship is the engine that drives a healthy economy. Therefore, 'StartUp 1.0 Mela' is a maiden initiative of JIM, to provide a platform for StartUp ideas to occupy the
mind space of angel investors. It is an opportunity for the aspiring student 'startupreneurs' to 'pitch' their ideas before potential angel investors and win cash prizes of Rs 25,000, Rs 15,000 and Rs10,000.
